Community college offers course in Homeschooling

Oregon Live
PCC class explores homeschooling

It's tough enough to get a quality education without all the uncertainty of school funding, said Ann Olson-Stanley, who will teach a class at Portland Community College this spring called "The Decision to Home School."

The non-credit class will cover the basics that you need to know before starting a homeschooling program.

Stanley, a mom with 14 years of experience and teaching in public schools, will provide a balanced look at homeschooling and cover the pros and cons to help you make your decision and receive information on getting started.

The class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, in Room 114 at Glencoe High School, 2700 NW Glencoe Road. Cost is $19. Call PCC's community education office at 503-533-2708 for more information.

Interesting. I hope the idea catches on.
